Hi guys. A buddy who hauls bikes a lot just picked up a 2013 BV 350 out of LA, CA and brought it to me here in Columbus, OH. It seems to have been in storage for quite a while with 8K miles on it. We rolled it off the trailer and when I went to start it, nothing at first. After several tries, turning the kill switch on and off, multiples on the start button with one or both brake handles on,it finally cranked a bit, then enough to get it started. went for a ride and love it - quicker off the line than my 2009 SC 500 I think, and great handling, but always trouble getting it to crank. I suspect corrosion in various switches. No manual provided and i guess I'll download one from AF1 eventually, but can someone tell me where the big start relay is and how to get to it, as I thought I'd try jumping that 1st. Any other ideas welcomed! Cheers, Ron

It may need a new battery.

No. 13.2V, checked fuses, relays in fuse box, cleaned the terminals - made no difference. It does crank -eventually, but not a good connection somewhere.

The starter relay is on the left side.

The PO Tony suggested pushing harder on the starter button, which helped some, but still kinda hit or miss. Sometimes just trying harder does work, haha! I'll try some contact cleaner also. Cheers, Ron

Thanks, I'll check that out. I just recognized the relay in the fusebox, jumped it a few times, and that seems to have helped to clean off the contacts and it cranks normally now. I love the KISS principle, haha. AI said it was underneath the bike in front and needed to remove the belly pan. Another year than my 2013? Going for a ride when it cools off a little here tonight - a mere 98F here today. Not the desert, but a little toasty. Ride on, Ron
