Hello there,

I got a free Vespa lx50 from a uncle of mine and he didn't drive it in a few years is has really bad rust under the part where you rest your feet anything to help it, can I replace it? Maybe just let it be?

I also can't start with the electric start button only kickstart after around 2 kicks is the battery weak and do in need to replace it or can i charge the battery I already drove it maybe I need to drive it longer? Just let me know

Don't waste energy and money on this pile of rust! Sorry to say it so directly...
A Vespa has a self-supporting body, everything from below the handlebars to the license plate is the frame. In other words: the rust holes you see are in load-bearing parts. In Germany, a repair would not only be economically nonsensical but also prohibited to this extent (I don't know the legal situation in the Netherlands).

As it is now, the body could break apart when driving over potholes and bumps.
In addition to the rust problem, you would also have to replace tires, other rubber parts, possibly brakes and battery, which alone is borderline economically.

My tip: sell it in parts or find someone who wants to take the trouble of selling the parts.
