Hello everyone, rode my Vespa in the dark yesterday and noticed that the lights are pretty naff. The low beam seems to light up about 5 metres infront of me to the left and the high beam lights up only the right about 5 metres infront of me. Are they just generally not very good lights or is some kind of adjustment needed. The bulbs are clearly working but they seem to light up a very specific area quite a lot and not much else. Thanks

The H4 halogens do tend to dim with age so they should be replaced periodically. You might consider upgrading to a LED at this time, plenty of good ones to be found on Amazon or perhaps at local retailers. You may need to adjust the aiming all the way down to prevent dazzling oncoming traffic.

I have had good luck on 2 different scoots with the Auxito branded H4 LEDs Amazon, truly plug and play, good light output and durable.

Another thing to check is your electrical system's output. Check the voltage at the battery with bike running at idle. If it's producing between 13.0v and 14.5v, you should be fine. < 13.5v indicates your stator is not producing enough power - it's likely starting to fail and needs cleaning or replacement. >14.5v indicates your voltage regulator is failing and needs replacement.

Thanks, maybe I'll change the bulbs and see then 👌🏻
