Hello

I have a chance to buy a Vespa GS 150, I'm being told it's a mark five but the chassis number is 00114450, he don't normally have Vespas as he's a Lambretta person. unfortunately some of the IGM number is missing, I can vaguely see IGM 1136???

And unfortunately, the model number has perished with rust. Can anyone tell me what model it is. The frame definitely looks like an early Vespa GS 150.

The engine is missing, so I cannot tell you the engine number. The markings for the frame number are under the toolbox side panel. I have looked underneath the carb door and there is nothing that I can see.

Can anyone help before I purchase because I need to re register?

Thanks Lee

Moved to NSM, as OP seeks help identifying a vintage Vespa.

IGM numbers aren't going to be much help.
The frame and engine should have "VS5" stamps.

Post some pics. Somebody here that owns a GS150 can probably help you identify it.

The late models do indeed have the frame number stamped under the left cowl towards the rear. If I get a chance, I'll post a pic of mine. Pictures from you will be helpful.

Thank you.
As I mentioned the IGM number has rubbed off and very hard to read including the frame type VS5 etc
