The last cheered-up thread reached the traditional limit of 100 pages, so it's time to start a new one.
This is the third one, so maybe we can catch up with the pissed-off threads! |

I got a "new" phone. My wife's hand-me-down iphone 13Pro.
There was nothing wrong with my 2018 Android but she insisted I needed an upgrade. I'm not sure if this Old Fart is going to handle the switch from Android to IOS very well...... so I might be moving this to the Pissed Thread |

Oh god. Look what I started.
I'm cheered up because I took the GTS 310 into the hills today at Santo Tirso. I love it. It's surprisingly capable including 10km on a cobblestone highway. It's 32°c here too with a breeze so nice weather. ![]()

I am cheered up today because I just got my full CBC results most of them are within healthy tolerances except for a possible thyroid issue. Seems no matter how badly I abuse myself my body seems to be bulletproof.
Now if I could only get this AFib under control then I would be so cheery I would be quite annoying. |

Our fav hotel in Todos Santos moved our upcoming reservation (starting Sunday) with no fee. They are always so nice and accommodating. I was bummed we needed to reschedule, but they made it a breeze and it didn't cost a nickel. Class.

Actually Caroline Aherne is a total star. RIP Caroline. One of my favourites of hers, was when she interviewed Bernard Manning as Mrs. Merton. Not for those of a nervous disposition! He really met his match that night.

took a break from rubbing my....."brass"....to start emptying the gun safe (TMO movers aren't allowed to take the things inside and frankly i wouldn't let 'em even if they were lololol) and holy gotdang hell i found a spare key to the Bonneville in the very back of the top shelf where we had things like car titles, birth certs, mawwiage wicense, etc.
That lessens the short-term stress load immensely. Still have a fresh blank on the way, gonna use the spare I found to have a locksmith dupe the physical, and then just use DealerTool to add it to the ECU later. oy vey. big relief. |

worked out how piaggio fucked their backup function in their vespa mia app and was able to write some code to unfuck the backup file for another MV user.

After a brakeless winter and way too much brake fluid changing drama, the BV has been up and running nicely, including some mild cosmetic tweaks. Riding home last night it was a joy to have a perfectly running scooter with zero concerns on the horizon. To be fair, the GTS is in good shape too. Woot!

Finally worked out (and fixed!) what was causing a wheel-speed clonking sound in our van after getting tyres changed a few weeks ago. It wasn't the usual cause (worn CV joints) but something entirely different! Full write-up here:
