I guess that's the difference between a Brit thinking of 'town' and 'city' and a US person, as in the UK, a place is only a city if it has a Royal Charter, whereas what I think of as towns or villages call themselves cities in the US!
Trust me, I understand how different definitions of what a municipal entity is affect various things.

I went to High School in the City of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Wisconsin Dells has a population of 3344, and an area of 7.734 square miles. The city government consists of a Mayor and six Alderpersons. Fun Fact: One of my high school classmates is an Alderperson.

Right next to Wisconsin Dells is the Village of Lake Delton. The two municipalities are colloquially known as the tourist destination, "The Dells." Lake Delton has a population of 3629, and an area of 7.629 square miles. The village government consists of a seven-member Board of Trustees. Fun Fact: Two of my high school classmates are board members.

The Town of Delton surrounds the Village of Lake Delton. It has a population of 2024, and an area of 30.2 square miles. The town is run by a Town Board, consisting of a Chairman and four Supervisors. Fun Fact: my mom holds the position of Supervisor 1 on the Town Board.

So a City can be smaller than a Town, area-wise. It can also be smaller than a Village, population-wise. It was explained to me that their designation as City, Village, or Town are set when they are incorporated, and can not be changed.

I spent many a summer at Holiday Shores and worked at Noah's Ark and later Houlihan's before joining the Air Force in 2003. Loved the Baraboo meat market (Hart & Vold i think it was?) and spent LOADS of time on the river fishing with dad. Back behind blackhawk island was one of his fave spots, away from the boat tours.

One of my classmates was John Waterman, the son of the founder of Noah's Ark.

My summer job when I lived in the Dells was at Quick Service Laundry. They did all of the motel bed linens and restaurant table linens for most of the motels & restaurants in the area. I never had to work directly with the tourii.

Turk and Jack absolutely adored my sister; I joined up there after their tenure and the Gantz families (seemingly drunk 24/7 all of them) bought the place.

Chris Farley came thru a few times, once when I was still fairly new there. Matt Foley taught us how to grill a triple cheeseburger at the Kahuna Cafe....lawd. I have *NEVER* laughed harder in my entire life than I did that day. Miss that dude.

I had my 6 month review at work this morning and the boss is saying how pleased he is with my work etc etc, it was then my turn to say what I thought and I mentioned I wanted a pay rise as he's so happy with my work and that the bonus scheme that I can earn every quarter wasn't fit for purpose as I didn't earn a bean from the first quarter.

Anyway I was driving home when he rang and said he had some good news, for the 2nd quarter I earned the equivalent of $3350.00 dollars in bonus and it would be in my wages next week

So, I took the FIAT in yesterday for its first actual FIAT issue. It was the window regulator. Which, as it turns out, isn't FIAT specific and they've had several of them in over the last two months. Hot weather and all. So, the parts are on back order. It'll be a couple of weeks.

In the meantime my passenger side window is held up with blue tape. So, I'm going to make a sticker that says "Stop staring at... the parts are ordered" to place on the window.

Anyway, while I was there I asked if they were able to order rain deflectors for the windows. The one thing I've noticed is the rain channeling is non-existent. Even in a drizzle, if you open the windows a crack, you get a waterfall in your lap. I figured while it was there I'd have them put them on. I've looked at them in the past and the Mopar shields were about a hundred bucks.

Mopar no longer lists them, so I found some on Amazon. They should be there before it goes back in.

Oh, and this is the Maserati showroom.

I donated blood on Monday, got the "Thank you, please fill out our survey" email today, which reminded me that they (Vitalant, if you're interested) have a rewards program. Logged in to find I could claim $60 of Amazon gift cards in recognition of the past couple of years' donations.

I donate blood because it's a way I can make a positive difference in the world, rather than to earn Amazon gift cards, but it's nice that I can buy a couple of LPs from the proceeds

Nearly forgot - here's my referral link: https://donors.vitalant.org/dwp/portal/dwa?source=SaveMore-8941-C

If you use it to schedule a donation, we both get a $10 gift card (you can choose other vendors than Amazon).

Do consider donating blood, even if you don't use my link. Riding on two wheels, we're unfortunately more likely than the average person to need to get some back in the future!

The only time I tried to donate blood was at a local radio station's annual blood drive. While doing the intake paperwork they pricked my finger to check blood type. The next thing I knew I was lying on the floor with a half-dozen staff members around me with concerned looks on their faces. Turns out I passed out when they pricked my finger. The doctor on staff looked at me and said, "he doesn't need to donate today."

I still got the free t-shirt though.

They don't want my blood. There are so many meds in it, it isn't fit for use, other than in me. Also, my blood pressure is being kept so low that I can't spare the volume.
I used to give blood regularly years ago, so there's that.

Whats even funnier is that an obnoxious bloke from the southeast of England pretends that he would know where and how far other members of this forum ride their scooters and bikes.

Does he genuinely believe he's some kind of all knowing God?

My car has no a/c, the trailer place in Richmond (3 hours from my house) didn't have the trailer they said they did online, tried to upsell me a bloody 6x12 (lady I showed up in a Golf GTI, wtf you smokin lol) so I had to drive further down to Suffolk but ended up with a lovely new Anvil 5x8 with a ramp rear door, nearly 1000lbs higher GVWR than either of our current cars can tow (so it'll stay with us even if/when either car gets traded in or we get something bigger to tow with), and plenty of space/capacity for both the scoots or a scoot and a Triumph should we want to take them camping.

I understand that twin turbo 6 does VERY well on the track. 0-60 in 2.9, top speed of 202 ...

I'd drive one, just saying.

EDIT :
