I'm finally part of the family! Traded in my 2020 Triumph T120 Black for a 2024 Vespa GTV 300! Some will say I downgraded, but I don't think so. She's a blast to ride!! The dealer gave me a great deal, with a good trade in and $1K off!

Couple 1st ride home impressions!

I think I'll need one of those airy seat covers or something? It's comfy! Way more comfy than the Triumph. But I literally have no ass whatsoever, so my butt was getting a little raw on the 85 mile ride home (year, no dealers closer. boo)

I need to get used to doing nothing with my feet. lol

OH!! I had SO MANY motorcycle waves!! Mostly from Harleys!! WTF.. I usually get a 50/50 chance on the Triumph (never from a Harley), but on this thing it was 100% every bike, probably 30 bikes I saw on the way home! I was floored!!

I'm sure there is other observations, but I'm lovin' it!!

That is a looker! That black with the orange accents is a great combo.

Regarding seat comfort, I've found riding with an Airhawk (or similar inflatable cushion) underneath a 3D mesh cover works really well. PLenty of cushioning and lots of airflow to keep your backside fresh. Also works well for draining water if you get caught in the rain. I used this combo on my Yamaha SMax during the 2023 Cannonball and had minimal issues. $60 for both items on Amazon

On my GTS, I've been riding for 10 years with a similar setup: Airhawk cushion under a Cheeky Seats quilted seat cover. It's a very comfortable combo. Cheeky Seats makes great slip on covers that can be color customized for your scoot. It doesn't breath like the 3D mesh I mentioned above, but the aesthetics are better.

Very nice. I really like the GTV style w/ light on front fender. I had a GTS, but always wished I had bought a GTV . Seat- yes uncomfortable. I bought a fast back Vespa seat. Looked and felt better. For really long rides the air hawk is a good thing.

Up north a bit in murland. Was at Meade for 16 of my 21 AF years, retired back at the end of Sep and moving to CO end of this month. RB's gunpowder old fashy premix is spectacular.

I also have a T120 and a GTS 300. I like them for different reasons but if I could only have one it would probably be the Vespa. It's just effortless, fun, comfortable, and it can go all the same places as my Triumph. I don't like riding much faster than 70 mph or on the interstate, so speed isn't much of a consideration. Lately I've been riding the Vespa almost exclusively.
