hope everyones doing ok! im hanging in there, but i was able to raise money and feel really blessed that my friends helped me out to get an additional ammount of money for a new bike. I was wondering if anyone wanted to weigh in on these three bikes

I have 7,000 now, and 8,000 in a month, so heres my options

5400, a steal, 0 miles, vespa yacht club, really gorgeous bike and is my second choice in an ideal world. love the stripe on it. this one is a 2019 that has 2 miles on it. Would it be ok sitting that long? thats my only concern? i would assume so cause it was stored at a dealership and not in a barn or something. this bike would be the safest bet, leaving me with 2000 dollar saved up for any future problems. it would be the second most gorgeous bike ive ever owned and i know for a fact that the 2019 engine is incredibly reliable

5900, 1000 miles, a perfect replacement for my lost 2021 green vespa gts 300. I know the issues this year has going into this one, and honestly I didnt expect to be this sad about losing it. I truly loved that bike despite all of its problems. this one is the most adventurous choice as i would have to find a way to florida to buy it. I dont have the real ID so i cant really fly, or i could risk it and try to fly and lose money if turned away. I have a friend willing to drive me there. It also would just be a helluva story where the first time i drove this bike is a 900 mile drive

and finally i could try to finance a brand new one in the green i like and buy the seat cover. I have 7,000 to pay up front, if i pay that up front and the loan term is 72 months i could easily afford that. I wouldnt have anything saved after it was said and done but I would be doing as fine as i was before someone broke my bike. the new engine is all positive reviews from what ive seen and the extra power and the ability to comfortably speed up to 80 when necessary on streets with a minimum of 75 would be a huge plus for me

The Yachtclub will feel underpowered - go for the GTS. First service should have already been done, golden.

I'd pass on the boat anchor given it's been sitting so long. Is it being sold as new with warranty?

I love that green though so totally biased.

its being sold as new, but has been inside a dealership for years. warranty is too old but they're offering an extended warranty

If it was me, I'd be fine with it and do my own first service after several long days in the saddle, but I hesitate to recommend that to someone else.

ok! so while looking around i stumbled accross this, the price was reduced cause it was damaged in a shipping fall. the dealership is telling me that its not a salvage title and that its a normal title.

they did repair the damage from the fall as the dealership is a body shop as well.

attached is the repair and the original damage. I dont know anything about the structure of the bike, but i do know thats frame damage, i was just wondering if its safe for the engine frame damage and safe to ride frame damage. I probably should ask them to knock a good 400 off the price for sure now too.

I wouldn't be concerned about that damage at all. The engine mounts much lower down at floorboard area, and the shocks mount up under the seat. While it is technically frame damage, this looks only cosmetic.

Frame damage on a Vespa is only worth worrying about if the fork had moved or the engine mounts.

If it has been well painted and the dent removed, there is no reason not to buy it. Maybe ask them for a little more discount?

That's pretty close to my thought on it. It's just a harder fall than I think I imagined. But I know for sure it's like a fall actually. It's similar to bikes I've ridden in terms of damage level

I feel like my old bike(grey) might be worse lol. That was from a scrap recycling truck hooking on to the mirror and dragging it 8 feet, also bending the left brake lever into a perfect cup holder shape, which I did use to hold drinks occasionally, until it snapped in half(but still worked)

It isn't particularly clear from that image but it looks like there isn't even any broken paint on that bike.

Over here in Porto, I have had much worse damage removed by a paintless dent repair specialist. Just requires a fair bit of disassembly behind.

That's reassuring, yeah you're right the paint didn't even crack really
