Just wondering how many times do you typically reuse the air filter before replacing it? I know foam doesn't last forever.

Mine last 10-12 years - say 30-40,000 miles. Cleaned with gas, oiled with gas'n'oil, squeezed 'dry'.

As long as I don't accidentally rip mine while cleaning, it should last a while. Clap emoticon

They are pretty durable as long as you handle with care during maintenance. Once installed, they're pretty well protected.

I typically clean mine with spray brake cleaner, then a little blast of compressed air to remove any remaining debris. I use Fab 1 filter oil and reinstall.

From UNI the OG foam filter:
Quote:
first remove the filter from the engine and separate the inner and outer layers if applicable. Then, saturate the foam with a grease-cutting cleaner (like Uni Filter Cleaner, Simple Green, or dish soap) and let it soak for a few minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, ensuring all cleaner is removed. Allow the filter to dry completely before re-oiling with Uni Filter Foam Filter Oil.
