I don't want a top case permanently on my GTS and have ordered a black rack that will take a Givi monolock case. Which of these looks best do you think? I am minded to go with the B360NT2 for its combination of simplicity and size. Not sure whether to go with the red reflector version or not! Or maybe even the simpler E340 vision.

I don't think you could go wrong with that 34L version. I have a similar Kappa 35 that I've had on 6 different bikes over the last 11 years. Everything from a 50cc Yamaha up to my Burgman 400. It didn't look out of place on any. It's on my 2013 GTS300 at the moment. It holds a 3xl full face helmet with room to spare. Push one button and it comes off the bike. Those Givi folks make a high quality product.

Thanks. My friends all rate the Shad cases but they just look a little bit utilitarian on a Vespa for me. I like the Blade 37 but it just is a bit techmax for a Vespa.

If you don't take into account the fact that shad and givi are not as beautiful as the original vespa, then yes, they are convenient. You can easily remove them from the scooter and go, like with a suitcase. You can open them with a button! It's convenient! But my shad knocks when driving. And it's not worth it. The same problem with givi.

I love my Givi V47. It's a Monokey, so it won't fit a Monolock baseplate, but I expect the quality to be comparable.
Very sturdy construction and the size is great for camping trips. Just make sure you use the Vespa fixed rack, not the folding one. It brings the case closer to the seat and a bit lower and just makes a more fixed connection. Trust me, I've tried both. 🙃

I would pick Shad over Givi, but if I had to go Givi, I would probably choose the E340 Vision (or E340 Vision Tech).

The E340 Vision has the old locking mechanism which is a pain; it's like a clip that you have to lift up and click down to secure the box lid. I ended up with the B360 because it is just a simple press shut to close mechanism like their bigger cases. It still seems like quite a large case - Givi says it is 39 litres on its product page, which is stange given their normal numbering format.

I roll the 42L outback. Great for a small grocery run, my AGV K6S fits in it along with my summer riding jacket.....easy to yoink with the monokey.

I have the Givi E300 on my '23 GTS. It stays on full time. I didn't need a lot of storage, just enough for a helmet since my use case was to add the back rest pad for my wife.
The GTS is now the only two wheeler I have she'll ride on. Plus it's handy when we park one helmet goes under the seat and the other in the top box with room to spare. |

The case and a nice padded backrest was €130 all in. I've painted the reflectors and the GIVI badge gloss black to have a stealth look just like the rest of the GTS. Only thing left to paint now is the transmission cover.

I think that the B360 looks pretty good with its curves in terms of suiting the GTS. In fact it's faux carbon fibre panels almost perfectly match the horncover. I will post a pic of it on the scoot once my rack arrives (and yes it is the flat one from FA Italian that can also take the Vespa original case). |

It's different strokes for different folks really! might even swap out to the OEM top case eventually on the scoot and save the Givi for bigger bikes. ADHD can be annoying lol. |

I have a GIVI DLM46B 46 liter Monokey top case that I had on my Triumph T120, but it's now on my new '24 GTV. It looks fantastic and ton of cargo space now! I'll take a pic later today, I need to wash the bike.

Just be cognizant of the weight limit on the rear rack. Yes, it'll certainly hold more than that but if the road becomes....well...."baltimore", you could have issues with bending or worse.

We have the givi 37liter boxes. They are big enough to fit a full face helmet with jacket layered on top and gloves inside the helmet.
Or a huge backpack for a high school kid... Clarinet goes in the pet carrier with my (mom) purse and water bottle, and my laptop case on my curry hook... Anyway, we are quite happy with the givi - they are sturdy, easy to use, and quite functional. Only negative is the slope on the top makes it harder to properly apply stickers. |

God, I know I'm gonna get flamed for this by Vespa purists, but I would much rather use my GIVI topcase than the Vespa brand case. I always felt like the color matched topcases were too extra and looked like a giant bug butt. I feel like the matte black looks more subtle and sleek. Givi's hinges, locks, and case release system are superior in my opinion. Fortunately many of their cases, like the E340N2 I'm using on my GTS, or the B29N2 on my Sprint, take the seat-matched Vespa backrests perfectly.
Having said this, to each their own, and I totally get why some riders want to see a Vespa topcase on their bikes!

I don't think that this problem is universal. None of my Givi cases "knock" on any of my three bikes when riding. They all fit secure and silently.
I'll also never understand why Vespa stopped using red reflectors on their cases? I think red reflectors look dread on all that black! It's not the case that's knocking on the scooter, but the lower private trunk and its upper part.

I'm not familiar with that issue. Are you sure yours is mounted properly? I know you've said it's a problem on all Givi and Shad cases, and that it can't be solved. But I've honestly never heard any noise from mine and think your Shad case may have had an issue. My mounting plates all have these thick rubber stoppers that I assume prevent any plastic on plastic contact and kill noise.
I've got one on my Sprint 150, GTS 300, and my Kawasaki Eliminator and they are silent as the grave! Love em to death. I often swap the cases based on what size I need for the errands that day. I have used the Givi backrest which is also nice quality. Currently in the process of blacking out the final few bits which Piaggio failed to do. Brake levers, fork cover, transmission cover and screen support. Unlike you, I have used gloss black on all the parts though! I have been waiting for the Koso indicators to come back into stock. They look great. |

I LOVE my Koso turn signals. I ended up choosing the transparent over the smoke lenses. Though I suspect the difference is pretty minor. I just think they look great on the bike plus the gloss black matches the trim on the super sport so it all comes together really well.

(I have a 2024 GTS 300 Sport) and also 2 - love the way you blacked out the chrome, was this difficult to do? What type of paint did you use. Thanks so much in advance! |

I replaced the chrome and diecast gray bits with black replacements sourced from all over, but mostly SIP and Scooterwest. If I would recommend anything, it's replacing the diecast brakes and the chrome switchplate covers. They're both really beginner friendly to do, and can be done at the same time. I used the new black switch assemblies that come on the new supersports, got them from SIP. It really ties the black and orange scheme together.
