I'm looking to buy a used GTS but I'm curious.
What is a good solid year range?
I've had bad luck buying used vehicles, especially because of age, and finding parts etc.
What else should i look for?

They're all pretty solid, just incremental changes over the years. Parts availability is a non-issue other than time, sometimes takes a couple months to backorder out of Italy if not in US depot.

Advice would be the typical buy the newest and lowest mileage you can afford. Or go for an older garage queen on the cheap.

How deep are your pockets, can you do your own work? A well cared for GTS 250 with maintenance records has a lot of life left in it. I prefer no ABS, No HPE. If you don't mind paying for belt and valve check every 6,000 miles go for the HPE.

I agree 100%, also how many miles per year are you planning to ride? a higher mileage GTS may be an option if youre not racking up the miles. Also, if you plan to keep it for a while it may be worth stretching the budget a bit, it will pay off in the long run...

The price of used 250/300's vary from place to place, dealer to dealer. Find something you want and pony up for it if nothing is available. Or search other areas/states for a better deal if you wanna fly/ride or have it shipped.

I feel MV is the best place to find a used scoot as most of us are honest and know what the value is. Then do your due diligence and ask questions to the seller.

Search Craigslist. There are a couple GTSs for sale in the Tucson area now. Your profile doesn't list where in AZ you are. That will help.
