Are you wondering why nothing was shipped out this entire week?
I was in the hospital from last Monday until today.
I expect orders to be caught up by Tuesday.
Thank you for your patience.

People usually don't come out of hospital
Not alive anyway so congrats on being a survivor, on another note looks like you need some assistance in the shipping department I can relocate for the right reasons if needed As long as there's a covered parking spot for my GT200L/N. Marret said a speedy recovery back to normal I second that except I thought normal was a setting on a washing machine ! 🤔 |

Carl, you managed to snag my last GTS 250 fuel pump. Hopefully I'll be able to get one last shipment out of Italy before they go on vacation. I've caught up pulling orders to last Wednesday today. It's 10:30 and time to call it for the night.

Motovista,
Thanks for the update! That explains it. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery and the best of health going forward. I recently placed an order with you at Scooterpartsco.com (not my first) and emailed a couple of time afterwards but got no response (Re: Order Confirmation No: 36716). I look forward to hearing from you and receiving my order in due course. All the best, Galileo. |

I also placed an order for a Vespa side stand a few days ago and haven't heard anything in response to the question I sent you or my order. I hope you're doing ok. I've ordered from you on multiple occasions and have always been more than satisfied with the parts that were sent to me, as well as the turnaround times. No worries. Feel better!

Just wanted to note for the record (and to counter various accusations) that Modern Vespa and ScooterPartsCo have no financial connection, and nobody on the MV staff works at ScooterPartsCo -- or vice versa. I've never even met Motovista, and come to think of it I don't think I even know his real name.
However, it has been a very, very longstanding policy here at Modern Vespa that we will not arbitrate disputes between dealers (or vendors) and customers, even if one (or both) of the parties are members here. We simply cannot know the whole story in any given dispute, and the story we do get is invariably one-sided. It is often the case that someone who has a bad experience with a dealer or vendor wants to tell the world about it, to warn others not to do business with that entity. The motivation for doing so is sometimes altruistic (wanting to help others) but much, much more often it is to exact revenge on the dealer/vendor. And we (Modern Vespa) have no way of knowing whether that person's experience was representative of all transactions with that dealer/vendor or whether it was a one-off or whether the entire thing was blown out of proportion. We just don't know. And we can't know. And we certainly don't have the resources to investigate and make a decision as to whether the complaint is valid or not. If you have a problem with a dealer or a vendor. Take it up with them. If you get no satisfaction, take it up with your local/regional/state consumer protection agency. Or take it up with your credit card company. Or your lawyer. We will not be a party to these conflicts. EVER. TL;DR: Knock it off, for fuck's sake.

It would seem to me that according to Jess's longstanding and reasonable policy, the premise of this thread was flawed from the first post. Mr. Vista has his own website and email system to communicate status to his customers. I wish him well and a speedy recovery as a customer and fan of his MV commentary (and even I know his name), but the worm-can opening tool was unboxed at the outset of this thread.
