Ill take a crack at it. I would say it is the Brenner Freeway somewhere near South Tirol. Just a guess.

Also very interesting is a visit to Viterbo below street level. Originally constructed for water supply a network of tunnels and rooms served several purposes in history. One of them for shelter during bombardments.

In fact Viterbo suffered real hard during WW II from allied bombing.

The Gotthard only has 1 tunnel tube for car traffic, meaning 1 lane for each direction and it is 17km long.
Road authorities absolutely want to prevent any accident and also traffic standing still in the tunnel. That is why the traffic flow is dosed to a fixed max amount. That is why in summer there is always a jam before the tunnel. You need to take into account you loose an hour.

The good news is that they are constructing a second tube. Will be ready by 2030. That will smoothen traffic flow.

You can imagine what massive amount of stone material has to be removed for such a tunnel. It is all done from the south side onwards. Very impressive machinery is postprocessing all that material.

So the Traffic Jam is sitting before the Gottard Tunnel. Right? I've driven through the Gottard Tunnel and it is definetly a damned long assed Tunnel ( Pardon my French )

To those who guessed, the chick is not on a farm, and I didn't eat it. Or the others there.

That is Castel Gandolfo.

I will say, the rooster is not in Arizona.

We did the same visit. Interesting and creepy at the same time exactly as you say.

Castel Gandolfo, the summer residence of the pope.
You can visit it and when we were there we were about the only visitors. There are some security people inside to guard the residence. One of them came to us and guided us through the gardens.

I asked whether the pope really came to the residence in summer and he replied it was 11 years ago since the pope visited Castel Gandolfo. Meaning pope Francis never came there. We were there in 2024.

Part of the residence is a museum. Lots of pictures tell about the history of the residence during WW2. At the end of WW2 there was a strong defense line around Rome against the allied forces that were progressing from Sicily towards the north.
But Castel Gandolfo was not a defense point and became a refuge for many people from the wide area looking for shelter and safety. Most of the residence became inhabited and in the gardens tents aroused for people to live in.

I will say though, that the rooster is further from me than the home of my youth in New England. Someone must have been there.

I assumed someone had been to Kauai, but I guess not. Maybe something easier next time.
