This is far out of my league.

This one is super simple to trace, but such a fantastic place and scenery.

I believe that is a village in central Italy commonly known as "the dying city"

Civita di Bagnoregio. It's about 25 miles South of Montepulciano. Excellent wines in that area.

It is indeed Civita di Bagnoreggio sometimes called the dying city or village, it is pretty small.

There is only 1 entrance and that is that bridge you see on the picture. It is only for pedestrians, not wide enough for a car left alone a truck, and you have to pay toll to cross it. I do not know of any other bridge where you have to pay toll as a pedestrian.

There is a small museum in the village fully explaining the history of the area and the village and why it is dying.

If you look at the picture you see there is a plane in the background with a downward slope to the right. You see that the base level of the village is on that same plane, because it used to be one flat plane a long time ago. All the soil around the village has disappeared through erosion by 2 rivers that run along the village and rain. And that process is still ongoing and gradually the village becomes smaller, loosing houses at the edge and finally disappear.

We understood the Italian government is working on plans to save the village.

Side note. In New England, where there are miles of drystone walls, I never remember seeing them topped like this. 6 years ago when we were looking for a new place to live I started noticing them in TN, KY and IN. Doing research I found that many of the early European inhabitants of the region were Scots-Irish descent.

Barmouth bridge, Wales. It's a pathway alongside a railway bridge, over the wide estuary of the river Mawddach. You can take motorcycles over it too!

I checked out that Barmouth bridge. Never been there.
It is an amazing structure. 800m long and constructed mainly in wood back in 1861.
I also read on wikipedia toll is today voluntary.
I would gladly pay toll to cross it on foot.

Take your scooter over it! I've ridden across three times now. Some of the 'floorboards' are quite loose, so it's a clickety-clackety experience.

It is in fact in Porto, and the writing on the building in the background is Portuguese, not Spanish. There was more on the other corner of the building, which made it apparent which language was being used, but that wasn't in the picture.

The next question, though, is where in Porto.
