everything about that wiring is god awful. i cannot make heads or tales out of anything with the harness as none of it standard. What is the background to this bike?
i think you have form the stator- Red, White, and green to the CDI Blue is unregulated AC can't see, but you probably have a black for ground. Harness- Red for kill Black to ground What ever the rest of that crap is, who knows- |

The reality of your situation, though, is that pretty much every aspect of that bike is some applicable version of that wiring harness and is going to require a major repair effort or replacement to get it working. Before you do anything, pull the gas tank and get some pictures of the cavity and up into the tunnel. Look for evidence of welding, because that bike could be welded together from multiple frames and be flat-out unsafe to ride. Given what you're starting with, you're going to want to get a VBB wiring diagram (which won't be accurate, given that you're already on a regulated system, but will give you a starting point). Once you've done that, you can get your multimeter and start tracing circuits. First, you need to determine if your brake switch and horn are Normally Open (NO) (press the button to complete a circuit) or Normally Closed (NC) (complete the circuit unless you press them). If they're NC, you want to replace them with NO switches and, unless you already quit reading because you already know what you need to do about that. And if they're NC, you probably want to just order a new 12V wiring harness and install it. |

Back to normal maybe bad wording, just wanted to see why those two wires were not connected, and normally they attach to junction box. So cleaning this up, even if I bought all new wire harness. Appreciate all help

**** WARNING!!! I am not a mechanic. I know nothing about Vespas or wiring or electronics. Any and all comments are pure speculation, and are not intended to, and should not, be taken as actual advice.***
Looks like somebody went splice happy with the brown stripe wire.

There's a lot going on there. 12V AC stator powering a 6v harness. After that, it's a mess and anyone's guess. 🤷🏻♂️
Let me ask, do the lights work? |

My guess is that it's a balanced 6V harness, so even if they could work, they didn't work for long.
