Okay so this all started with my trying to put a new clock battery in and speedo cable with was all easy enough. However upon reconnecteding the faceplace motherboard, I accidently plugged the large motherboard cable in reverse which caused some reverse lighting issues but after putting it in correctly the lights and switches seemed to work correctly except for the fact that the oil light remained on even when the bike was turned off.

Now I have the following issue.

1. when I plug in the motherboard, power stays on even when off
2. I can start the bike without the key or even the key switch connected

somehow the bike seems to be hardwireds as soon as I make the motherboard connection.

I am completely lost and need some guidance.
