I had posted earlier about my 2007 Vespa GTS 250ie which has been sitting for 18 months and would not start. So, I managed to get it to a mechanic an hour away. They called me to tell me that they have done a full service and the scooter is running but it needs the muffler replaced. The cost of a new muffler from Vespa- around $1300, and a pre owned one around $650 ! Factoring the labor and cost of service, I probably would end up spending more than half the value of the scooter!

It was almost a case of not worth it but riding a scooter in my old age could be priceless.

Or you might find a low milage take off from wrecked one on e-bay. Also you could try posting " want to buy" . Some Vespa riders out there have installed a " performance muffler" and may be willing to sell the old OEM one .

Anything up to 2022 will fit. Routinely find them on ebay for less than $200.

That's quite the exchange rate. MSRP on the complete assembly is about 753 euros.

Want one? This is also the correct part for the GTS 250, IMPIANTO SCARICO PIAGGIO VESPA GTS 250 '05 '09 1A0093185

I can get the complete CAT back stainless factory Toyota TRD exhaust system for my Tacoma for $730.

I realize the Vespa exhaust/muffler weighs about the same, but c'mon.
