Modern Vespa

about two months ago, I got a great deal on a 2023 GTS 300 Supertech. I have two other Vespas (2014 and 2016, going up for sale cheap... like $2k each), and a bunch of spares like wheels. Will the rear wheel (with ABS tone ring) work on a 2023 GTS? I am looking at the tone rings and they look exactly the same. I understand that the 21-22-23 HPE tone rings are different, but I cant find out much about the 2023 tone ring. Did they go back to the previous tone ring used in the 2016-2019 model?

I was looking to purchase a 23-24 tone ring for a 2016 rear wheel, if one exists, or use this as is if it is the same.

Wheel will work, but tone ring is different. Though they look the same, difference is spacing of the "teeth."

2023 tone ring is Vespa part number 1C003698R.

my parts manuals show the 2016+ all the way though to current have the same part number 1C003698R, 1C001043, 1C0010436 (same part with different codes - piaggio does this a lot)

staring at the pics on sip shows a little half moons cut out of the inner part of the ring to make way for the wheel bolts.

Bingo. TMy 2016 and 2023 use the same part number. So , I went out and counted and each has 48 slots. Bolt spacing is exactly the same. I conclude that a 2016 and a 2023 use the exact same tone ring and the wheels should be interchangeable.

Let me know when you are ready to unload the old ones. I'm interested for sure. Looking to upragde from my 2007.
