Hi checked my lights today the high beam works but the other light does not come on any ideas piaggio mp3 250 2008

Hi I put 2 new ones in

Does it not switch to high beam at all? Or is only one of the headlights switched on?
At my 2010 MP3 400 only one of the healights is on at the time.
E.g. left on normal beam, right on high beam. (not sure which side is which)
This is normal, at least in the Netherlands. It is not allowed to have both light on simultaliously on motorcyles. Because the headlights are so close together car driving idots can mistake a very nearby motorcyle with 2 lights close to eachother for a car at great distance with 2 lights far away form eachother.
As if they see us bikers anyway when they cross a road.....

Hi i can put the high beam on but when I turn high beam off the one on the right does not come on

Picked up my mp3 4 days ago, and ill save you my story about how i dismantled the front end to change bulbs

Low beam = Only right lamp turns on
High beam = Only left lamp turns on

Its by design... My mind was absolutly blown when i found out. 2 H7 bulbs, both capable of high/low beam, and this is what they decided to do.

Ill also save you my rant on what i think about that design feature

H7 is single beam, not dual. The reason (and it's actually a good one for once) is that a moto with two headlights side by side can be mistaken in the mirrors as a car much further away, not a bike right behind - and maybe about to overtake! In some jurisdictions it's actually illegal to have two headlights on at once on a motorcycle. Piaggio will always try to build their machines to be as compatible with the whole market, not country by country except when there are huge differences - e.g. selling in the US.
