Hey everyone,
new here! Well, not completely new — I've been lurking around for a while, but this is my first post.
Proud owner of a 2018 GTS300, which I maintain myself (I'll share a pic soon).

So here's the issue: I recently started getting squeaking noises from the variator area. My first thought was the belt, so I took the chance to upgrade to a Malossi Multivar. The squeaks disappeared for about a month, but now they're back again.

Another thing I've noticed is that the Vespa doesn't really feel like it has a "neutral." When I'm at a stop, it still seems to want to creep forward.
Also, the squeaks only happen at low speed, when I'm off the throttle.

Would love to hear your thoughts and advice

All I can say is to wish you luck. I had something similar, but never did track it down. Hard to describe, but sort of a faint high pitched rattle. Worst fear was some sort of sudden mechanical failure stranding me.

Opened the transmission case but could find nothing. ( got fixated on the little belt pulley which was probably innocent). Some time in the past years it stopped without me noticing. Maybe my hearing's going. Laughing emoticon

It looks like the clutch does not fully release. Check the springs of the clutch shoes or replace the clutch.

I did change to the white spring that came with the multivar. I'll try replace it back.

I was talking about the clutch shoes springs not the variator abjuster spring.

So if I change to the torque spring (the big one) to the MALOSSI white one might be that I need to change the 3 shoe springs to the white malossi as well or it's not related?

Leave the big white spring on . The malossi variator works better with it. Τhere is no need to put malossi shoe springs when using the big white spring. Dismandle the clutch and check the shoe springs or replace the clutch.
