Modern Vespa

So the folding black rear rack finally came, I don't need it to fold up those so I just took two large reusable zip ties and secured it in place then took the black bag off my wife's Vespa… She has a brown one coming, and strapped everything down! Love the way it looks.

I also painted the front horn trim because the Seahawks green was bugging me lol so after I painted it, I forgot that I ordered some stuff from SIP and one of those things with a black horn cover insert… Oh well

I also got a couple of black vented spark plug covers to hopefully dissipate some of the heat in there.

Now to figure out how to make this thing faster!

Yeah, well, I didn't want to spend this much on a scooter so spending another $3000 just wasn't in the cards. I would've bought a real motorcycle at that point lol

I do want a Honda NX 500! Which would've been less expensive. But… I did see that Matte sand color in the GTS/GTV when I went to get some info on some stuff at the scooter shop, I shouldn't have looked lol

If you leave a minute earlier, that new, fast 310 will never catch up.
The difference is so small.

Making a 150 faster can be a challenge. I've been down that road and I had good results, but I had to throw a bunch of stuff at it.

Swap the variator, rollers, clutch, outer pulley, and belt to Malossi parts. I and many others have had really good luck with these parts. These do a better job with slightly less parasitic loss.

Stock rear tire size for the Primavera is 120/70-12. You can fit a 130/70/12 which will yield slightly taller gearing (3-5%) which should give you a bit more top end speed.

Malossi also has a 185cc cylinder kit. Combine that with an exhaust and don't forget about upgraded suspension for better ride control.

Faster indeed, but how much faster?

That's what I would like to know. Although I'm just looking for a little more…oomph. It's actually not bad for what it is and considering I weigh 235.

Just a little snappier would be fun

Been down that road as well, and the stuff can add up fast, I easily exceeded $3k, it was fun but wouldn't do it again.

The go fast parts that will give you the most bang for the buck are a big bore kit (with either jetting or a Force Master to get the air/fuel mixture right), variator and exhaust, in that order. After that, it's more money for smaller gains.
And no matter what you see on Youtube or hear from people selling them, different brands or types of clutch do not make the bike go faster. But if you give the bike more power, they are built to take it. Malossi has a clutch that fits the Primavera 50 and other 4-5 hp Piaggio two and four stroke scooters. The same clutch also fits their own RC-1, which puts out upwards of 31 horsepower. A stock Piaggio Chinese made 50cc clutch wouldn't hold up quite as well to that sort of power, and a clutch that can take that sort of power in a race environment is going to hold up well to whatever you throw at it.
Big scooters are known for developing clutch judder. The Burgman 400 is particularly famous for doing that after it has been run hard and fast or two up. The Malossi clutch and bell pretty much eliminate this problem on big scooters.

making a 150 faster, Drop about $2k or more and lot of work and PITA stuff. for a 10-15 mph gain , there more bang for your buck

Actually....not really FASTER, but just more oomph. 65 ish is fast enough...just like to get there a bit quicker

that can be accomplished with simple vari tuning versus big bore stuff.

I am not a 150 person so won't lead you astray . my knowledge is in the MP3's and older gts 250 stuff
