Modern Vespa

Hello to all , new member ,
I have just purchased a 125 carb model and the bike had been severely attacked in attempt to steal it , the biggest casualty was the ignition lock etc , my main question is, as I only have a black key ( which is frozen in the lock) , if I obtain a replacement lock, fit my existing immobiliser antenna ( undamaged )
Will the new brown key,program an existing ECU or will it fail because it was paired with a different brown key ?

To pair new keys you need the brown one, so the only way is "virgin" the ECU and program all the new keys (the brown/master first and after the other ones)

actually in early immo systems like that then almost any car locksmith can generally copy the chip in the black key.

Thanks for replying all , I have ordered from the motoguys USA , a s/h lock with brown key , my lock was completely broken plus the electric port / rotary switch and small drive shaft had gone , a chap here in uk in Fareham took my ecu and programmed a master chip to fit in the new brown key cost so far lock ,brown key £250 , programme new master chip £79 , I got a replacement full size screen from Lithuania for £70 , the seat had been slashed, cost for a really nice one with the hidden weather proof cover £70
Genuine Piaggio key 2 buttons with blank key blade £39 plus a regular key with chip for £16.
Various body clips bolts and screws and paint probably about £60 .
You might wonder if it's worth the effort haha but I have had the motor running and it runs sweet and quiet ,the instruments all work ,none of the painted bodywork is cracked also the the front stability thing locks correctly.
I'm really looking forward to riding in London , I also have a cbr1100xx blackbird, vfr800 vtec , vfr750fj and a vf400 but now into my 70s and at some point a bike with stability at the trellis lights etc might allow me longer bike time !
