So I was confused a few weeks ago when I saw the two side tail lights that looked like they had bulbs in them, but they didn't do anything. I thought I was missing something. I looked through the owners manual and did some searching and then found out that for some reason, those lights aren't functioning for the USA?? Which makes no sense!

So the fact that the rear LED tail lights are pretty bright, I turned these into the running lights when the bike is on. Just to give some extra lighting back there. I bought the kit from scooter West or… Yeah, I think it was that. And it took literally five minutes for each of the vespas.

Highly recommend!

Those smaller lights serve as the turn signals in other markets around the world. US DOT rules mandate the install of the extended turn signals.

Good choice to make use of them as running lights if you're not removing the US only turn signals.

Has anyone hooked those up as additional brake lights with a flashing modulator? That would be a great add for visibility while braking.

I was kind of mulling over which one to go with, and decided on the running lights because the brake lights are pretty darn bright. Especially being LED. So I prefer just more bulk of lights. I had thought about mounting a Garmin solar light that I have that is a bright LED and then flashes as it sees cars coming up behind…

We bicycle a lot and are very big on being well wet! Even our stand-up scooters are lit the heck lol
