Modern Vespa

I drafted up a clamp that uses dremel collets but never got around to making one to test out.

If there is something off the shelf that would be even better.

I see what you mean but there's been no issue for me. I just checked now and there's a reasonable amount of resistance to it wobbling about.

I had a look the other day for cables with the threaded end that you mentioned earlier but wasn't able to even find one. Do you happen to have a link?

Here is my attempt to stop ruining cables every single time I use them... this electrical earth connector is cheap and holds well. I add a small strip of sheet metal bent up at the ends to stop the screws cutting into the cable. Certainly not as neat as yours but doesn't require much input at all. I guess you could cover them with heat shrink if you don't like the look.

Looking for a picture I see aliexpress do them with grub screws which might help them to look a bit less chunky.

Oh, that was a long while back and I didn't keep any records. I was inspired by having to change the broken clutch cable on my Speed Triple back in the day, and noticing that it had that beloved screw-tightening system I was so fond of on my T5. The same cable would have been too short and thick for the clutch of a vespa, so I looked into various other makes of non-hydraulic clutch commands, but didn't find any suitable ones. When I finally gave up, I'd been told a Spanish bike (Montesa?) had that kind of system with the correct length x thickness, but I was never able to to verify/find one to try.
