Mrs jess and I just did a quick three days in Milan and then 3 days in Turin before returning to our longer stay in Porto. While in Turin, we had the opportunity to visit the Heritage Hub, which is the historic collection of vehicles held by Stellantis. This mostly consists of Fiat and Lancia cars, though there are a smattering of other makes there as well.
The tour is by appointment only, and we were led in a small group through the collection by a guide who explained the significance of most of the cars there. Some were unremarkable (undriven examples of fairly ordinary models) while others were much more significant: cars that won major rallies, first car of a given model off the production line, first Fiat electric car (much older than you might expect) and so on. There were also several concept and prototype cars in the collection.
Our group was a mix of language speakers, and our guide only had marginal English skills. He tried hard to do as much as he could in Italian and English, though, and TBH his English is much better than my Italian, so props for enthusiasm and effort.
While I took a ton of pictures, this is very far from being complete -- I photographed the ones that seemed interesting to me and mostly ignored a lot of variations on the Fiat Panda Also, I did not capture anything in the way of why these cars are significant, so really this is just a bunch of snapshots without context. Sorry.
If you'd like to visit the collection, you can find more information about it here.
