Modern Vespa

Hey all!

So I've had no issues over the past month plus, and granted don't really NEED or use the phone connection on the Primavera Tech, but just connected to see what it was all about. Nice to have access to info on my phone from the Vespa at worst.

BUT....hadn't ridden it in a week or so, went on vaca, and got on it to come to work this AM and this big orange message pops up...I panicked, but then saw it was part of the Bluetooth connectivity?!

Issue is I can't get it to stop flashing, and can't redo the phone. I tried resetting the Bluetooth on the Vespa, deleting it from my phone, then go in to redo the Bluetooth and....it just goes back to the standard mph dashboard.

So doesn't seem to be doing anything!?

Any insight into this??

PMP = Piaggio Multimedia Platform
VMP = Vespa Multimedia Platform

The message "PMP/VMP Disconnected Service" means that the multimedia control unit is not accessible.

However, I don't know why you are getting PMP instead of VMP as an error message.

Possible causes include a defective fuse (or other reason for no power supply, e.g., corrosion), a loose plug/loose connection on the control unit plug, or a defective multimedia control unit.

If you still have a warranty, take it to the dealer!

Try disconnecting power to both the pmp and to the tft dash by either disconnecting the battery and/or pulling the appropriate fuses.

(Ignition off is not adequate).

Great that disconnecting the battery solved the problem. According to the posts in the German forum, this tip unfortunately did not help solve the problem there.
