I know some here love facts and figures, so figured my recent testing might be of interest.

In short: I wanted to test once and for all whether the Malossi RX exhaust made my Beverly 350 run lean. And it does. I've written a blog post about the testing and the results.

Of course, there are a lot of caveats. Not least, how accurate the data I was using is, and of course this is only one bike tested. But it was good to know the outcome, even if only for me personally.

For those who don't want to read the blog: Yes, it does make the bike run lean, but within tolorances.

I had a thousand mile on the malossi before the poorly constructed cf end cap blew off. Never had a check engine light. Glad to know that's (running lean) how it made extra power , don't miss that crap exhaust at all.

that's a click baity headline that I'd say is wrong. Which makes this quote quite relevant "There's an old saying that a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting its boots on"

to quote your blog again: "the bike's ECU is smart enough to compensate perfectly by adding more fuel"

in other words, the bike doesn't run lean thanks to the ecu.

now to get some Popcorn emoticon for the arguments based on phrasing and terminology.

Sorry, but it does run lean. The figures prove this. Yes, the ECU compensates and it is within acceptable limits, but the fact remains; it does run lean!

Click bait? C'mon, this a forum about a niche subject, it's not Facebook! I even put the findings in the post for anyone who can't be arsed to click the link.

If my post is against a rule or just generally not in keeping with the ethos of the site I'll happily remove it. I just put it here as I know it's been a subject of discussion in the past, plus there are quite a few BV350 peeps here.

I'd suspect most have better things to do than argue about a personal blog post on a shitty little blog that sees about 5 people a week!

I do this stuff for fun, you might be taking me and my blog a tad too seriously.
