Spotted this on my drive today. Can someone more knowledgeable than I identify this Vespa?

That model is utter rubbish. Not recommended.

it's a Toter ANA32-00BLU 32 Gallon Blue Rotational Molded Wheeled Rectangular Trash Can with Lid…oh, you meant the vespa. I dunno.

It says on the fender below the seat but I can't see it. If you could sneak up and take a pic of the serial number, legshield, and back end, someone here could tell you exactly....

180 SS or Sprint ! But the 180 never went in that color, the sprint does, assuming it is OG color, I'll go for a sprint (not veloce, different tail light).

You're right, I did not know SS did not have a door. I've been confused by the tail light, specific to sprint, vnb6 and SS180

M5 oregon license plate means that plate was first assigned to that scooter sometime in the mid 2000's.

That looks like a container bike from the golden era, pre Asia. Pirate Imports or similar.

We got lots of those that were actually just used vespas, basically needing the usual maintenance.

By the probably og color, taillight (and gasket) and general condition I'd say it's a sprint. Script badge on the back looks like the earlier pre veloce.

And so many had the footrest...

Sweet. I hope they get back to me. Haven't found a ton of scooter people in town……

And if they are trying to rebuild it, I now poses a bunch of Vespa specific tools they can use haha.

And the headset is also SS180/GL, used on the '65-67(?) Sprints.

The trap headlight wasn't popular, and the US DOT sealed beam requirement for motorcycles started '68.

They're around (and a few are around here). Lots of Lammy folks out that way, too, who may or may not choose to associate with Vespa Trash like ourselves.

Still considered a trouble maker, locally. In fact, I get pulled over on a scooter more often than on a full size motorcycle or a car. 😁
