Modern Vespa

Hi,

Looking for some advice, much appreciated.

My 300 Supertech is refusing to start.

Turn on the key, and fuel pump primes, then just a click.

Measured the voltage on the batery at 12.6v

I am assuming that the starter relay is the issue here.

Does it live underneath all the floorboards? Do I need to take the door panel and floor board off to access the relay.

Any advice appreicated.

don't assume its the solenoid.

pull the battery and have it load tested first, just because your meter says its 12.6 v doesn't make it a good battery.

voltage is just the transmission side of the battery, the working side is the Amperage.

Tested the battery under load, barely drops to about 12.3v.

My neighbour who is a retired electrical engineer, then tested the relay. He confirmed that the relay is faulty.

Got a replacement on order.

Fitted the new starter solenoid.

Fired up instantly.
