Why?

I don't have a photo in front of me, but they cut off the oil tank too.

I have a P200 case where someone did the exact same thing to that oil pump stud. WHY?!

I have a severely damaged garbage PX150 case that i'm thinking about removing that stud from, then pressing it back into my good 200 case.

Jon, looking closer at the Rally case that you're working on, there looks to be damage to the rectangular shaped bearing retaining plate as well as part of the aluminum case in that particular spot. It makes me wonder if something catastrophic happed to the clutch or crankshaft at some point? And maybe it then somehow bend the oil pump stud as well? And since it was bent the owner just decided to cut it off? I dunno how it would be possible, but i wouldn't put it past somebody to figure out a way to break sound functioning parts.

Not just the stud, the removed the aluminum perch for the oil injection rod too.

The current owner admitted doing it and at one time asked how much ($$$) to put back.
Noting catastrophic, just wanted to delete oil injection. These systems fail when people who do not know that they are doing get their hands in there.
