Modern Vespa

I am in the market for a split seat in brown leather to upgrade on my 2008 GTS but not sure if it will fit w/o modifications. I have emailed SIP twice but to no avail. The dilemma is that the saddle is from an individual and would be shipped to me, so if it doesn't fit, I am stuck with a saddle I can't use and out the cash. Does anyone have any advice, experience, tips or otherwise information that will help in my decision of purchasing the saddle or abandoning the idea?

The 2008 GTS and the newer GTS models have different frame designs and mounting points. A seat from a newer GTS 250ie will almost certainly not fit your 2008 model without major modification. It's a common fitment issue. I would abandon the idea unless the seller can 100% confirm it was taken from another 2008 model. You'll likely be stuck with a seat you can't use.
