Hi, I have a '20 mp3 500. I've been trying to recalibrate the asr but it won't react to the sequence given. I've followed to sets of instructions, one involving the starter, and one with out it. Either way I receive no flashing of the asr light. It either turns on or off, nothing else. Is there another sequence I should try or follow ? Thanks for any help.

The sequence of steps needs to be exact point by point, detail by detail (inclusive if sounds stupid or you think something is done before).

The first time take me more that 5 tries to do it.

btw, there were 2 different sequences. Is one more correct than the other? Like i said, 1 involved the starter and the other did not.

The instructions you sent were clear and concise. I was able to accomplish this in one go. Thank you!

The ASR calibration should only be done right after installing a new rear tire

Not necessary true.

From the workshop manual if any tire (front or rear or both) are changed is recommended/mandatory do the learning process, but from personal expertise mine don't come with the calibration done from the dealer and I need to do it myself.

And I don't see any problem to do the learning process if in example someone have a very aggressive ASR (my case before do the process) with tires a little used

Yes, but ASR calibration on a worn tire (at or near the treadwear indicators) can result in unpredictable and dangerous handling

or front tire or changing the tire pressure.

ie, anything that changes the ratio of the rolling circumference of the front vs rear.
