The penalty rain made it all a bit of a farce and nothing to detract of Hamilton's solid driving I thought Leclerq was robbed of his second place by Ferrari pit non-tactics.
His following understeer skid was imo a result of him being rightly p'ssed off x the tarmac breaking up.

The theory is that the cars were running at the correct speed into the pit lane but because the route the drivers took through it made the car cover the distance in less time, which is why the many sensors kicked off.

I'm not sure if Herta's time on the track during Free Practice is required to accrue licence points but it would be a waste not to run the guy you're trying to groom for a seat next year.

I agree that Herta will take Bottas's seat but I believe that Perez is doing his best in a crap car and will be retained for 2027.

Leclerc crashed at the hairpin because his rear brakes had failed. He'd been complaining about them throughout the race.

Talking of which, Group C cars at Brands Hatch earlier today.

This vehicle has been parked a couple of blocks from my house for a week or so. I don't know who owns it but it's pretty cool.

I went back to Brands Hatch today to watch the Group C cars do "Demo" runs.

Once the Pace Car came in there wasn't much demonstrating going on as the Mercedes Benz and the Porsches just went off at full chat while making the most glorious sounds.

Saw Alex Brundle and Neil Clifford there also.

I was talking to a friend about going to the Formula E race in London next month but it seems that next year's race is going to be held at my local track, Brands Hatch as well as Zandvoort in Holland.
