Bob occasionally annoyed the shit out of me. But, I still really liked him as he made this forum more entertaining with his contributions. I doff my cap. My sincerest condolences to his friends and family.
RIP - Bob Copeland.

Like a lot of others I only knew of him from the forum. I always enjoyed his posts, though. And it sounds like he was an all around good guy as well as being a good contributor. He will be missed.
R.I.P. Mr. Copeland.

When Bob stopped posting, I often thought about him and his wellness.
I hope wherever his final destination is, it includes a comfy recliner, snifter of brandy, cigar, and cigar cutter. Maybe on a table in front of his favorite show. I think many of us can see this exact picture in our heads. RIP, Bob.

How very sad. I had the opportunity to chat and correspond with Bob when helping Bill Dog retrieve a scooter he purchased from Bob for a cross-country ride in the US.
RIP Bob.

I could tell by his writing that he really loved riding. I'm sure the roads are equally good or better in his present location.

I read with sadness about Bob's passing. A good and fun soul, that one. He had a habit of maintaining his scooters quite meticulously. And was more than happy to share in his scrupulous habits. On multiple occasions he offered, and in fact cleaned quite nicely, my windscreens. I can only imagine that he burned the towels he used to do so. Rest in Peace my friend. And may the road always rise up to meet you.

I didn't know him personally but appreciated his commentary, photos, enjoyment of his equipment and scootering experiences, and occasional good-sense insurance advice.
I don't think anyone else on MV has been as forthright about themselves as they are in real life as Bob. He concealed nothing from us with his real name, photo, history, home photos, and family situation. I think I would have recognized him on the street. Now to be fair, as for several of the rest of you, I would flee if I recognized you in the street. But not Bob.

I think that Bob would have been truly honoured to have his picture on the MV title page.
He was one of the great contributors on this site and had a genuine interest in his fellow MV members as well as having an astute technical knowledge of scooters. I know he was very proud of his English ancestry and also of the time he spent in his youth riding around Italy on his beloved Ducati. In a positive way, sharing this information with us helped to unite the scooter fraternity on both sides of the pond. I raise a glass of fine brandy and cigar to: Bob Copeland Frostbite Falls Minnesota

In winter Bob was always referring to Minneapolis, the city where he was living, as "frostbite Minneapolis", being the coldest major city in the US. I think he was quite proud to live there.

Just a few hours ago I had the pleasure of reading one of Bob's messages on Burgman-type versus Beverly-type scooters. Now to learn of his passing leaves me feeling so sorry, even though I did not know him personally. Rest in peace, Bob.

I am truly shocked to read this. I've never met Bob, but I feel like I got to know him, through lurking his posts.
He was so gentle, always careful, always smart and always, always positive. I'm sure his friends and family will miss him dearly. So will I. Bob, I hope you rest in the loving peace that you radiated to the world.

Oh, I am sad but not surprised to see this. I haven't seen his posts for quite some time. I loved his stories in Naples, his analysis of certain scooters and his zest for life. Fair well and following seas.

I had seen this post a week ago, but did not pay attention to it, thinking it was another post from Bob about how he is wintering his Vespa in MN.
It just occurred to me to check the post to find out about his passing away. I have never met or engaged with Bob on e forum but always liked the positive spin on things he had signing off with his smiling selfie. The second person on the forum after Judy from Hawaii, that I never met but passed away and the community mourns them. Rest in Peace Senor Copeland. To all the other members on the forum, stay connected to your community online/in real life, the world is going through some interesting times and this community with a shared liking to Vespa's can try to make the best of the world in our own little ways. Peace
