Sort of reminds me of VW reaching out to Italy for the design of the Karmann Ghia. Primarily designed by Luigi Segre, from the Italian styling house Carrozzeria Ghia - and built by the coachbuilder Karmann.
Taiwanese Kymco (Kwang Yang Motor Co.) had the design house of Massimo Zaniboni draw the LIKE scooter. Designed with a blend of 1960s and 70s aesthetics and first produced in 2010 from a plant in China. Backed by Kymco's fully transferable 2-year warranty, owner's of the LIKE found it to be so well built as to be nearly bullet proof. O.S.
