Hi im new to this scooter (65 allstste)

Need some help Im having some noise in my flywheel , any thougths are higjly appreciated. Attached here are videos

I couldn't see the videos ( came up private).
I don't see any witness marks on the stator or case.
How about pics of the flywheel, and the inside of the flywheel shroud. Just to rule them out.

Am I right in saying it is only prevalent at low revs and the "ticking" follows the revs of the engine?

Im tempted to say something is arcing or points clack. I think you need to lubricate the felt pad and points more


Other than tbat im an electronic ignition user and cant point to the source of that particular noise

Do you still get the rattle if you pull the clutch?

It looks like the flywheel fan blades are rubbing on a cable or wire next to the kick starter. The wire or cable moves in sync with the sound in the video.
That yellow wire on your stator also needs attention! The insulation is broke open.

I have had several earlier flywheels develop loose magnets. It's annoying but relatively harmless. You could stake around the pockets or even wick superglue around them. The magnets don't have to be very loose to rattle. It's a battle between magnetism and centrifugal force.

Just a suggestion.

Show the inside of the flywheel. Full frame, not just a close up please.

Still having some noise ,

Just recently i noticed an oil leak coming out from clutch cover. One piece of nut is missing . Can you tell me what type of nut amd washer should i buy? And the torque specs as well… really appreciate it

It looks like this. There are two variants but this is the preferred one.

Here you go. My manual says 3.0-3.5kgf m or (21.7-25.3 ft-lb). FYI my manual only goes dates back to 1978 models. Maybe others have better info.
