Hi everyone. Our Primavera developed this knocking/clacking sound at around 600-700 kms from the front end. The dealer was trying to find the cause at the first service back in 2024  and then again last summer at around 1700kms and but couldn't find anything. I was told the steering head bearings are fine and everything is tight and solid. I'm thinking to have the bearings replaced anyway, could possibly replace the front shock and bushings.
Any idea what it might be before I start spending money unnecessarily?
Many thanks for your help.

sounds like something bumping when you hit a bump.
Brake cable loose? Clips? Brake pads?

Mine did that. The front end clunk was a multitool loose in the pet carrier. Facepalm emoticon

Do you know if the dealer actually tightened them? Most scoots will need them tightened at least once after bedding in. Replacing them is a big job, not gonna be cheap.

Checks for bearing health: apply front brake and rock the scoot, should be no movement or clunking. Elevate front wheel, should easily fall to the caliper side, rotate checking for roughness.

Exactly, it makes this bumping sound when riding over the bumps. I've had a brief look at the cables today and nothing seemed to be loose. Luckily we've got two Vespas so together with my friend we can try to swap some things between them to see if it transmits to another one.

The dealer checked everything. Regarding the bearings, those also look fine but replacing them can't hurt (except my wallet a bit ).
I want to start a similar thread at the German forum, maybe somebody experienced the same issue and knows the cure.
