Hello, I want to buy an mp3 125, probably 2007 model with low mileage because I'm on a tight budget. Any advice to a newbie?

Welcome to MV and congratulations on your first post.

Why does it have to be a 125cc MP3?

In most countries, the advantage of an MP3 is that, because it has two front wheels, you can ride it with a car driver's license (and don't need a motorcycle license or a license for single-track vehicles). In Europe, this applies starting at a certain track width, meaning ALL newer MP3s (with the exception of some older versions, which had too narrow a track width and are therefore classified as motorcycles -> motorcycle license required).

Which country are you from?

I'm asking because your options might be broader if other engine sizes are also in the running.

Quick note: your question would probably be better suited for the MP3 subforum…

Thanks for the reply. I live in Spain and need a motorbike because of parking problems. The 3 wheels are safer than 2 approach seemed logical to me. 125 is the max I can because of my driving licence

Please check that again. In Spain, too, you can drive ALL current MP3s with a standard driver's license (Class B), as per EU law.

My ten years experience of MP3 ownership is they are a fun ride but VERY high maintenance and a long learning curve as bike shops don't want to touch them.
The sensors and electronics around the front wheels were most problematic, fuel pump replacement required lots of body panel removal . I could on and and on.
Buena suerte

The weak spots are het headstock bearings/stearing mechanism and the tilt lock system.
You must certainly check those.

a 2007 125 doesn't have tiltlock system that one came out in 2008 and its a motorcycle so less bearing problems then a LT version
