Hi!
I'm trying to restore a 2008 or 2009 Vespa S.
It arrived via a shipping company, and I noticed that the end of the rocker panel wasn't in place but was lying separately; however, I haven't determined the cause yet.
I disassembled the scooter before painting it, but I didn't pay attention to the gaps between the floorboard and the body. Now that I've painted the body and am trying to put the floorboard back in place, it won't fit correctly on the right side.
There are no signs of bodywork or metal welding. The factory paint is intact. However, the floor is 1 centimeter wider than the body. Interestingly, the body itself differs by 1 centimeter between the left and right sides.
There are no signs of floor repairs, other than painting.

Using force and a hair dryer, I managed to get the floor panel back into place—not perfectly, but I got it in. I also found signs that it had been sawed; someone else had clearly struggled to fit it back in before. I suspect the plastic had lost its proper shape over time.
