I recall seeing some of the early concepts several years ago online and really liked what I saw. It seems that RE has committed considerable resources to this sub brand and I hope it pays off.
There was an article in Cycle World earlier this year with some of the details... https://www.cycleworld.com/motorcycle-news/royal-enfield-flying-flea-c6-specs-confirmed/ It only weighs 273 lbs. The power rating of 21hp and 44 lb/ft of torque will make it quick and the top speed of 72 mph means that it will credibly handle faster roads and traffic when needed. Total range will only be 40-60 miles, but that's reasonable for a bike that is focused on commuting and urban riding.

I saw two at the UK's ABR show in June. They were very well finished and certainly not prototypes . Below was their bigger prototype for another E bike, possibly an electric Himalayan. I really like them and they oooze quality from the leading links to the swing arm and the overall attention to finishing.
Once they eek out a range of 125 usable miles by either software or more energy dense batteries I will give one a serious lookover.

still no range.
shame the bike manufactures are mostly avoiding [mild] hybrids. exceptions are a couple of kawasaki bikes and honda pcx scoots (and probably one or two others). I ignore prototypes for obvious reasons. put it this way, the next two road trips I am in the middle of planning I'll be carrying extra fuel. |

RE have built a huge Electric bike plant , its a no compromise facility, it will be the springboard for all RE's electric bikes upto 120,000 bikes a year. The article below ( if available in your region tells the story) . Lastly the Flea is a bit of an oddity, its not a prototype as its been sold commercially in India since Spring 26. But…RE say the bike will continue to be developed as battery tech changes. So potentially the bike will look the same 12 months from now but may have more power/ range / top speed ….. https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/new-tech/2026/july/royal-enfield-flying-flea-ev-indian-factory/ |

At half that weight my mid seventies Fantic Caballero had more sprightly performance and unlimited range. Heck, in the local classic club there are Vespinos with better specs and mind those almost routine do trips to the North Cape. This RE effort is rather cool imo but we are living in |

Capital P in Politician.
It's not the bike for me but I understand the sentiment behind it. It's cute and stylish and in the future I'm sure that the range will improve so I guess that it's a good place to start. The Hipsters are going to love it. |

Likewise, I have respect for it but no desire.
What's curious to me is why they felt the need to include cruise control, lean sensing ABS and 5 riding modes on a city commuter? It would be interesting to know how much that has added to the build cost and how much cheaper they could knock them out for if they were not included. |

If you haven't got it then you can't sell it.
The one added extra that you don't add is the one that people will ask for. Best to load it from the start. |

I popped into my local RE dealer today and enquired when they / we would see them in the UK. He advised the first deliveries were right at the end of December then Jan27. However, he went on to say non would be appearing in the showroom as all his allocation was sold through.
So it looks like the early adopters are basing their decisions on the likes of the video Bill Dog posted above or the recent MCN review. Time will tell if they were right to jump in so early. Steve |

That's a really good point.
It's never a good idea to buy the first version of a new product as that's the model that the manufacturers will learn from while we test it for them. My feeling is that the larger Livewire and Zero Electric Motorcycles don't make a lot of sense as they are expensive and heavy with a limited range for their size -which is why they didn't sell but I have a feeling that this is going to fly off the shelves as it's competitively priced and doesn't ape to be something bigger. I kinda like it. Maybe this is where the EV market really belongs ? |

The 'problem' is then that it is restricted to those whom also líve near ór have a P&R on the outskirts. p.s. I have booked a test ride. |
