I have a x9, just like to see if anyone here have big scoots.
I used to own a gt200 and a bv200, now I have this huge x9. I want a gts but in green, so I guess i have to wait to see if the even make a green one. I really like my x9,(Speed,comfort), but cant wait to have a vespa.

Just bought an Aprilia Atlantic 500, which is a very similar bike that uses the same engine as your X9.

Why'd you sell the GT/BV?

X9
just got to ride an atlantic at the aprillia dealer in Irvine CA.
I like the tires better in the atlantic.

I had a gt200, did some customizing and sold it to someone who really liked what i did to it.
the bv200 was bought used and was my 1st scoot. great basic scooter but i wanted a vespa.

X9
hey matt,
I'm putting some miles on my x9,(Almost 6k) and no issues mechanically. It just seems so far removed from a GT.
still got your grey gt? I would like to do a grey gt with electric blue accents and lighted cooling vents in blue. its just a thought since I am waiting for the gts in green, hope it happens in green.

hey ramrezz,

Welcome to Modern Vespa! I see you've been putting a lot of miles on your X9 and I have a question. How are your tires holding up? I guess you remember how quickly the GT's OEM tires went bye-bye. I'm wondering what the story is with the X9

You know they make a Vintage Green GT200. There is one at Vespa Santa Monica.

tires seem ok, about 1/2 the tread left, w/5500miles approx. i have the topcase too and put a 47lb backpack in it. i did order new tires from the aprillia atlantic(maxxis), because i like the tread better.

I just rode one of these at Vespa Detroit which had heated grips installed. They said it was a factory accessory. I wish I could get them installed on my GT, but They told me that the X9 has the wiring for them allready in the handlebars.

Anyway, what a nice ride. I wish the seat was a tad wider though.
