So some of the early 04s had em?
Do you know if they were intended as canadian bikes? Apparantly my bike still has a US carb. cool speedo though. |

What are the differences between the early and later GT's?
Mine is an '04, mfg in 10/03 (it's on the vin sticker on the frame if you remove the storage bucket). As I understand, the earlier scooters had: * 1 piece exhaust vs 2 piece on later (?) * Different speedo (80 mph, or as in Tony the Tiger's case, KPH) * Different trans vent (how different? Mine vents up from case thru vent on side of body) Not to be full of questions, but who has the oldest GT in the States? Also, I think the Euro spec has a Walbro vs. a Keihn on US Spec? Any performance benefit from the euro carb? Rich |

You asked:
Not to be full of questions, but who has the oldest GT in the States? Answer: 2003 The 2005 also had some improvments to the engine, reducing the number of moving parts and requiring less frequent oil changes. |

Which models have the larger crack shaft newer or older? I got the first one to come into Milwaukee. Actually got it from the Milwaukee auto show. Milwaukee Vespa picked it up from another show before that. I think the Chicago show. It was at least 2 weeks before Milwaukee got any more GT's. I thought it might have the Euro Carb but it has everything american. I have read that someone changed his US carb to the Euro and could tell no difference. Quote: |
