I attached it to the metal support on my windscreen, using the supplied attachments. If you don't have a windscreen, I'll have to go look at mine later to see how else I would have done it. If you do have one, I'll try to take a pic to show you how I did mine.

I use the "sucktion cup device" and a selfmade security cord.
Works perfect, never fell off yet not even on bad roads. I still have to find a way to get some electricity. |

Hi,
Thanks for the reply!! what brilliant ideas you guys have! unfortunately i dun have a windscreen so i tried attaching it to the left mirror. it looks fine but im not sure its a good idea. Thanks heaps! |

The mirror may work, and I'd like that option as it would keep the screen up higher on the bike (so you don't have to look down too far), but it's possible it would eventually start to swing the mirror arm around.

Agree that it is a permanent solution, but RAM does make mounting units that can be fixed to a flat surface. Might work on the top surface of the glovebox.

It comes with RAM mounts actually...I'd have to look and see how many kinds again, but I remember there being multiple options. I used the tubular RAM mount that came with the Rider2.

I'm not one of the "search before posting!" types (don't mind at all, in fact), but I just thought I'd point out that there have been quite a few really informative threads on this subject.
Run searches on terms like "TomTom", "GPS" and "sat nav". There's some great info and good ideas here. Kevin |

(hey...is that supposed to be "Jess' solution," or "Jess's solution..." technically speaking? And are the ellipses supposed to come after the quote, or before??) Anyway...check out his mount...with pictures... https://modernvespa.com/forum/topic411 And I *really* *really* like his solution to power... https://modernvespa.com/forum/topic13067 Very clean! The only thing I'd add is that personally, am not a fan of tap splices. If you're going to tap an existing wire like the one in the horn cover shown in Dan's writeup, (LX150: Wiring up a Zumo 550 GPS) example: personally I think a long term solution that is easier to troubleshoot would be to put in a legitimate power connector from radio shack: Spliced connections inevitably corrode, and if the wire gauge is small, you'll find yourself with intermittent power issues to try to decipher much sooner with a splice solution than with a proper quick disconnect terminal.
