I live in Melrose Park, IL - West suburb of Chicago. I have a 2016 Piaggio MP3 500 I bought in spring of 2019 and I need help learning how to ride it. As we know, general motorcycle riding courses do nothing. I will pay per hour. I've been looking for someone to aid me for a while. Just found this forum! There is one guy on a MP3 250 in Oak Park, IL I keep seeing and can never wave him down.

So given you have had your MP3 now for over a year, how much have you ridden it?

Motorcycle Safety courses are certainly fine for learning how to work with an MP3, other than the tilt lock.

What sort of questions are you looking to get answered?

other bike is a 2000 BMW R1100S. others have come and gone since. i have had motorcycles (many!) since i turned 15. no doubt, the MP3 is among the most fun i have had, what a brilliant idea!

if you look at my profile, i joined forever ago when i was in the market for a Vespa 300, and this forum was very helpful (in the end i didn't get the Vespa, i went a totally different way and got a KTM Duke 1290).

Been riding motorcycles for over 17 years, both sport bikes and cruisers. This is my first scooter, and I remember when the MP3 first came out. I thought it was cool, even though I was riding a large displacement sport bike at the time.
Now over ten years later, I had the chance to get one used for a reasonable price. It's my daily commute ride currently. Great on gas, and plenty of storage.

Indeed it's so practical that it's been the answer to motorcycle questions I had for more years than I care to admit. Uhm, I'll admit to 30. What an awesome design. I should have bought one as soon as they came out.

Leaving this morning to drive 925 miles south to pick up a 2008 mp3 400 that has only 576 miles on it, in excellent condition, and owned by an olde-school rider. His wife decided she would rather ride behind him, than ride her own bike.

Yes...the first thing I will do once this gets into my shop, is replace the 3 tires, since they are all 13 years old.

Been riding 50 years, and more than 2 million miles, and on all 7 continents, but this will be a new adventure riding an mp3.

I have a MP3 400 in Beverly Hills , however I am in Australia , where is have MP3 250 , 300 , 400 scattered around East Coast

Looking forward to getting back to LA in 2022 for a fun MP3 summer

Norwegian here, this is my first purchase, 51 of age, and I chose this bike because I couldn't complete the long-haul part of the course for the mc-license, due to a damaged shoulder (they require us to drive it long-distance for 5-6 hours as part of the requirements to get the license).
And I don't even have a car,so this was a perfect solution for me.
I'll be recieving my new bike in a weeks time,and I'm totally stoked about it!

Rejected this MP3 because it had front damage.
Bought another Piaggio MP3 500 / 2014 in March 2021.

56 South Coast of UK near Portsmouth. Still looking for a ride. Like the mp3 500 but like the (Dare I say it) uglyness of the fuoco more.

I'm a long time Moto Guzzi rider, 71 years old. Been riding an MP3 250 for a few years, just got done restoring a neglected 2008 400. Looking forward to many more rides before I take the big one.

If the Fuoco was London Congestion Charge compliant, I'd be all over the next second hand one, on looks alone.
