I'm sorry but you've got to be kidding. This is the second time I've been criticized on a tag. I thought on the first one Steve had a good point about reusing an old one that you had on file. And no one has done it since. Cool. But this? Geez. For me the worst tags are when someone leaves the name of a business in the pics that can just be looked up on the internet and you head right to the location. The best tags are the ones that you see something that you think you recognize but just can't place and have to get out there and hunt them down. Another part of the game that I enjoy is looking at all the cool pics people take. Ceeslee and his awesome photography have been a great addition. I think the thing I'm most irritated about is being called lazy. Fact of the matter when I saw that flag and decided to tag it I took 5 pics trying to get it just right. When I got home and looked them over I decided on the one that I did because the old Stars and Stripes was unfurled and looking mighty nice in it (center photo). If you look at the other pics I took listed below you'll see I did get a couple with the business name blocked naturally. But I decided it was worth taking the time to edit the best shot of the flag so I could post the best pic of it. So lazy is about the last thing I was being. Gotta to tell you I really have a blast playing this game. But nitpicking like what Fredsterhamm is doing makes the game just not fun at all.

Just because this is an online forum and we can't see you face to face doesn't give you the right to be nasty to the other participants. I think your personal attacks and insults have no place here, Fred, and frankly are a violation of the rules of Modern Vespa. I, for one, will no longer recognize your participation on this forum since you have clearly decided not to respect the other users. This is not in the spirit of scooter fun and I propose we ignore Fred and move on with the game.

whoa people.
I want to make something completely clear. I am not asserting any power. I am just voicing a protest against a tactic. If you want to play your game without me fine go ahead. I already said I do not want to attempt. I do not wish to apologize for a concern that I feel passionate about and if you want people to walk all over rules just for fun then go ahead. I will consider this a precedence and move on. But these things do need to be discussed and agreed on. Games are fun because of rules and bending them only causes me to question them and other players. But that's ok my voice has been snuffed and lost because it's not cool to ask why or act on a foul. Have fun! ⚠️ Last edited by Fredsterhamm on UTC; edited 1 time

Wow.
So - what rule is bent, broken, smudged or scuffed, Fred? We have no rule that says you can't make a smudge edit. And it appears that the majority here are fine with it. At this point, you're not changing anyone's mind and your continued protest is just hurting the game completely. Please live with what most of us choose to be good, or don't participate. You can dislike it and disagree all you want - your first post to that effect did the job. The following posts were unnecessary and unhelpful. The majority has clearly spoken. Seems to me your argument is lost, yet you persist. We're good with smudging, live with it or don't play. |

Wow can't believe how this forum just blew up like that????? What the heck, this is supposed to be fun!!!! Ok my opinion was asked awhile back so here you go.....
As far as posting a pic thats been done before.....Get on your scoot and go get it!!! We have 48 pages of tags and new people aren't going to go back and memorize all that! WE started a game that was fun then became challenging but we lost some good fun players because of BS on here before. I say so what if somethings been done before or you can tell where it is because of an address. For you experienced players, wait and be patient, their are people who may want to play but aren't as crafty with a camera. And you guys can go grab those 'easy' tags and RIDE your scoots out of our 'comfort 'area and get tags somewhere else. The main thing is to get people out and riding and enjoying there scoots! Some of our pics will be challenging at times but not EVERY photo has to be that way! The more people that get involved, the faster tags will move and we will all start seein eachother on the road more. Let's keep this FUN for everyone. If you really look at where the majority of tags have been, we will be doing a lot of repeats if we stay in the downtown/midtown area. LOOK at the map! We haven't even begun to cover all the possibilities of tags in our city. There is NO WAY we are running out of places to tag!!!! Go back and read the coverage area, get on your scoots and let's all......Scoot.Shoot.Tag. |

clue
I think we are at clue time. Sic, was correct in pointing out the building in the background (upper left). But, there is actually a second "structure" (note I didn't say "building") in the upper right corner. It is very small and distant in the photo, but if you can make it out, you can triangulate off of that and the first building. And I think that second structure may have even been a tag way back in the early days of this thread, bur I'm not positive (and I'm not searching through all those pages to confirm).

I've really wanted to get up your way to ride with and meet some of you Royal Bastards though, you guys look like a fun bunch!! I've been lurking over on your club website too. My goal is to make this happen this summer! Soon my hubby will have a big scoot too, then I'll have my partner back, and we can scoot far & wide Nice job Ceeslee, it's right where I thought it was! |
