Couple of questions about oil changes,
Is the dip stick screwed in to check oil level or just dipped?, (dosen;t say in the owners manual)

What oil do people use, owners manual recomends Agip 5w 40 synthetic, I can't find that here. I can get Mobil 1, but that is 5w 50 synthetic.
Thanks
Dave

I always screw it in to check the oil.
I read somewhere that there is no problem using oil like 5w50. However just make sure your using the Mobil motorcycle 4 stroke..

The dipstick must be screwed all the way in to get an accurate reading.

You should use an oil that conforms to the manufacturer's specification. Motorcycle oil that is blended to work in motorcycles that share the same oil for the engine & gearbox is NOT the correct type of oil for your scooter so make sure that you purchase the correct type of oil.

I don't know if you can find Shell Rotella -T 5w40 synthetic where you live but they sell it in many stores in the USA, including WalMart. This oil has been used by many BMW owners. I used it in my Beemers and now, in my scooters.
