My grips arrived - they are so cool and comfortable.

They fit great - although you will need a mallet to get the throttle one on.

They make a big difference to the look.

Also added foot rest - just for some more chrome and somewhere for my daughter to put her feet.

Finally got around to painting my glove box flaps, since I changed seat colors.

This looks great!!! Is it paint? What kind? It does look like real leather.

It's Rust-oleum chrome spray paint. Picked up a can at Autozone for $8.

Here is a progression of what my ET4 started as, changed into and finally what it has become...

All the chrome parts are gone.
Ordered orginal ET parts that come unpainted and had them powder coated black.
Switch gray grips to black, as well as knee pads.
Paint engine cover black.
Installed bar end mirrors.

To come...
Remove the kick start and plug it.
Powder coat the transmission cover.
Paint all the Vespa badges black.
Paint the brake levers black.

Alex BV, do you have any plans for the variator cover? Very tidy looking bike, that cover looks clean, but a bit plain, and kinda lets the rest of the scooter down.

I plan on removing the kick start and plug it, and powder coat the variator cover satin black.
I also plan on painting the leg shields black as well as the Vespa badges.
Also replace the brake levers to black and i think, I will be done..... i think...

Max, that is a beauty, where did you get those mirrors from?? and what did you paint the variator cover with..or is it another cover?

Thank you. Mirrors are from a local motorcycle shop, attached with with standard 8x1.25 picth bolts. Variator cover was done with Satin Black Krylon. No issues with temp. I usually powdercoat everything, but this is my only means of transportation for now (while I'm swapping out an engine in my car), so I couldn't send the piece off for a week.

I think I am in love. This looks great, I love how everything on it compliments it.. It is well tied togethor, if you understand what I mean.
Where did you get the checkered decals from, they look awesome, and I love the addition of the S seat. I have been trying to pick one up for a while now

Finally got to paint the transmission cover, remove the kick start and plug the hole; also painted front Vespa badge and leg shield trims.

Last step will be to replace levers with black ones and possibly paint my instrument cluster.

She has come a long way from the time I first got her 7 years ago and 18k miles!

is it ok to put the LX wheels on the ET ?
