Hello, anyone know where or if I can get a set of full all the way around crash bars for my new Vespa S150? Which ones fits my bike? Any and all answers will be appreciated!

In other words, you want not just rear crashbars to protect the cowls, but a piece that will take care of the front leg shield as well?

I believe most parts that fit an LX should fit an S, with the exception of anything on the headset or front fender.

yes, I want a piece that will protect the front leg shield in case I drop it or something happens. I ride my scoot every day about 12 miles back and forth to work, you just never know what can happen...

Same as an LX
Is the Vespa S roughly the same as a LX?

Yes, they're very very similar. I believe the main differences are the headset, the chrome in the legshield, the front fender, and the bottom plastic parts of the cowl area are just a bit skinnier.

There's not one piece that would go around the entire bike. But there is at least one front fender protector that I've seen for the S, there's a legshield protector that fits the LX series (I see no reason it wouldn't work), and a few different LX rear crash bars to choose from.

Try asking the dealer you bought it from. If they sell vespa scooter they should vespa side cowls.

I just purchased the LX legshield guard for my Vespa S. The only thing about the LX legshield guard is that you have to 2 drill holes in the horn cover. I will provide pictures once I have installed. I purchased the legshield guards for $169 at http://www.americanscootercenter.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=75_78_215&products_id=1123.

The part number is 656107 for your crash bars. Not the same part number as those for the LX which is 602896M. And according to the pics in the 2009 Piaggio/Vespa accessories catalog, they don't look the same.

They do look like they attach at the same points, though.

Just installed the legshield bars on my LX. It wasnt too difficult, but definately a bit of a leap to start drilling away at your horn cover.
But, I did learn a few tidbits during my install, so if anyone needs a hint just ask. I am simultaneously lazy and busy, Wha? emoticon so I didnt put together a pic tutorial. But glad to answer any questions on it if youre stuck.

BTW, when it is all said and done I really dig it. Adds a nice bit of chrome to the bike, as well as a little extra protection. For the OP, any LX stuff will more than likely fit your S. I got all my stuff at Motorsport (who happen to be a sponsor of this website). Check 'em out, they should have anything you need!

Front Legshield Crash Bars on S150
Has anybody installed front leg shield crash bars on an S 150????

The Scooterwest website doesn't show these crashbars for the S150, but in the legshield bars for the LX150 shows "Scooter Fit" which includes the S150.

The VespaUSA site also only shows the front legshield crash bars on the LX150 but not on the S150.

I really would like to buy them for the S150, but obviously only if they'll fit.

Any experience would be greatly appreciated.

MV member Rat has the LX chrome kit on his S. The legshield bars fit exactly the same on an LX as they do on an S. Don't always use the Vespa USA site as a guide. It isn't updated very often, and doesn't include much info at all about what accessories fit what, or even what's available.

You are most welcome.

Just be warned that adding chrome can be just as bad as buying your first Vespa. There's never enough.
