To all you Californians, is there ANY type of law that requires a minimum distance between two parked cars on a street? My neighbor LITERALLY comes within an inch, and its REALLY starting to get to me.

Anyone? I doubt theres a law, but if there is..

If there is one, it's unenforced. I wouldn't be surprised if local municipalities had something like that on the books, on a piecemeal basis.

In the SF area, you just get used to people using your bumper as a guide to get out of the spot behind you.

Merely parking too close? Discourteous, yes. Illegal, probably not.

Does he make sure you have enough room to get out on the other end? If so, then I don't even see a courtesy issue.

If he's not blocking you in or rubbing bumpers, why does it get to you?
