I saw a photo in the Gallery from an owner in Amsterdam. The dealer put their name in the same font as the Vespa logo. Is there a name for that font? Or is it peculiar to the Vespa company?

It shifted over the years from script in the 50's and 60's to the "primavera" block letter font in the 70's and 80's, to back to script again on the modern vespas. ( but the Modern Vespa font is way different looking than the old script font )
Example : script from the late 50's : ![]() 70's and 80's: ![]() Badge off the auto scoots: |

I don't know that the Vespa script has an official name (other than Vespa at the site I'll direct you to), but it can be downloaded as a TrueType font, as can the Primavera font. That sounds confusing, but Primavera is in font catalogs, whereas Vespa isn't (at least not that I've found). However, try this link:
http://whoridesavespa.com/2006/11/05/download-vespa-fonts/ or try a Google search of Vespa font. Quite a bit shows up. |

Oops! Next time I'll read all of the replies. Sorry to repeat you Marc. I was kind of excited. You know the feeling, "Ooh, ooh, I know, I know, pick me, pick me."

thanks for the quick reply, I got er' all set now. I was just looking at Macs today. It's either a Sig Sauer, Mac, or keep looking for a cheap ET or LX.
